Unicorn Themed Cake Smash Session|Moseley VA Photographer

I was so excited when Ms. A’s mom mentioned a unicorn themed cake smash session! The joy of celebrating your little one turning ONE is already special, but when your theme is a unicorn, it becomes MAGICAL. I love transforming my studio to create my clients’ vision.

This little one, or as her parents refer to her, “Ms. Diva” made sure we knew who was boss during her session. I always tell parents to bring a little snack for the models, because lets face it, modeling is hard work. After a quick snack break we were ready to start the cake smash part of her session. All cake smash sessions include “regular” photos prior to getting all messy. We tried to end the session with an adorable shot of Ms. A in my new claw foot tub, but she was NOT a fan at all.

I created the clouds out of batting and used this amazing rainbow backdrop from HSD Backdrops. Here are a couple of favorite images:
